Afternoon Tea
We had an unforgettable, amazing experience yesterday at The Hartnoll. My friend and I came for afternoon tea. It was absolutely excellent! We were welcomed by the wonderful Italian front of house gentleman who accommodated the fact we wanted to sit outside being it was such a lovely sunny day!
He is so friendly and professional We were then offered drinks ,shortly followed by an amazing afternoon tea with delicious pastries, sandwiches and the scones were out of this world! Served with endless pots of tea . The crockery is of very good quality, attention to detail is very apparent.
The staff couldn’t be better if they tried. On numerous occasions they all came over, asked if all ok, got us more drinks, just brilliant. We then went on to cocktails and they were also equally delicious.
We stayed far longer than we intended because it was just so nice. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. It maintains a very high level of excellence and is very very special Thank you and we will most definitely be back Please thank all the staff for a wonderful time
Sunday Lunch
We had the best family Sunday lunch! We are regular guests at the Hartnoll Hotel restaurant. Thus visit I invited my daughter, son in law and 19 month old grandson.
We were all made to feel so welcome and my grandson was so well behaved with such a kind and relaxed atmosphere. He ate all his lovely roast dinner and first time trying roast beef. Great memories were made.

Happy family of staff
We have never found more helpful and jolly staff.
Everything is conducted in the most professional manner and nothing is too much trouble, for which we send our thanks to Nelson and his “happy family of staff”. The surroundings are beautiful and we are always made to feel very much at home. We are made to feel as though we are very special from the handshake welcome to the wishing us well on our departure.
After going in hungry we always leave full, happy and content, what more could anybody ask for.

What a gem!
My husband booked a 4 night stay here as a birthday treat for me after a difficult couple of months. The communication prior to arrival was good and from the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the lovely lady on reception (sorry I didnt catch her name).
Every member of staff we met was professional, polite and helpful. This included the restaurant manager and waiting staff.
The room was lovely and we had a truly relaxing break due to the professional and friendly staff and great view from our room.
Amber in the Spa was great and made me feel at ease during my treatments.
Although the hotel was lovely, it was the staff who made our break so special. We will definitely be returning.
Valentines treat
It was our first time visiting the Hartnoll but it certainly won’t be the last!
I booked the afternoon tea as a valentine treat for my husband and was not disappointed, the food was amazing, great selection, extremely good quality.
The service was impeccable, courteous but not intrusive. Very friendly and welcoming. We asked for mint tea and we’re treated to the most delicious fresh mint tea. We were seated in the conservatory area of the dining room, which was comfortable airy and with a lovely view of the garden, shame the weather didn’t do it justice.
We look forward to returning in the near future and sampling more from the menu

We had a truly excellent meal. superbly cooked and the menu choice was just right. The service was friendly, polite but at the same time very professional.
The most lasting memory was how relaxing your Hotel is because you notice this the minute you walk through the door. Well done , a benchmark for others and we look forward to returning soon.
Wedding
Amazing location for our wedding last month. We were so lucky the sun shone allbday and we were able to make the most of the beautiful garden.
Thank you to Claire and her team at the hotel, everything was perfect. The excellent food was commented on by many of our guests!
Our suite was luxurious and we will definitely be back to stay again.

Sunday lunch
We took our friend out for Sunday lunch – we had an amazing meal. The service from Nelson and his team is superb, we are made to feel very special guests. Nothing is too trouble. We also had scones and tea with extra cream. Such good value for money.
We have many fond memories and family events and meals at the Hartnol hotel. Always a special place for us. Thank you Claire and Nelson for everything.

Highly recommend this hotel
I am a retired Self Catering Accommodation Inspector for Lincolnshire Tourism & Visit Britain.
I can’t help but find the little things to be improved upon .. it was after all my job ! HOWEVER … there was not a lot to find in this little gem of a hotel.
The staff were all friendly, the accommodation was spotlessly clean, beds and pillows were so comfortable, rooms not to hot and plenty of accessible windows for fresh air. The food was lovely, and we booked a pre valentines special which was very good value including Spa treatments.
A special mention also the the Spa Maroc staff who were very accommodating with extra treatments.
We don’t live to far away, and will Definitely be returning for another visit.

The best weekend had by all!
We held a party at the Hartnoll for our Dads 80th this weekend and had a fabulous time!
All of the staff that looked after us in our private dining room were amazingly attentive, caring, & polite at all times. The food was absolutely delicious.
A big shout out to Nelson and Lauren who were both extremely helpful & lovely – went above and beyond for us. We stayed in your beautiful accommodation/rooms also … all in all a 5 star service highly recommended!!!!

Fabulous family get together
Such a fabulous, friendly hotel. Even though they were busy with a murder mystery night, a shooting party and a wedding, they went out of their way to make our group of 11 feel welcome and find space for us to gather for tea, drinks and a lovely family dinner.
Super dog friendly (think they loved our lab as much as we do); doggy drinks and snacks served before human ones!
The food was excellent (both dinner and breakfast) and the rooms were individual and comfortable.
We hope to return next year! Thank you to all the staff who were really helpful and friendly.
We held my 70th birthday dinner and stayed at this exceptional hotel.
Claire and her team were incredibly helpful, friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble from the planning stage right through to saying goodbye. The whole dinner (for 60 of us) was first class, beautifully presented and as good as you will find anywhere in the country as was breakfast the next morning.
The rooms were very clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The gardens are also superb.
Thankyou Claire and all at the Hartnoll Hotel for all you did to make my 70th birthday an immensely memorable experience. Hope to be back again soon.

“A lovely evening at the Hartnoll last night. The service from Peppe was exceptionally good. Starter of Salmon Mousse followed by a divine roasted pork. My family members had the selection of sorbets.
Peppe couldn’t do enough for us! What a fabulous new addition to the staff, I hope he gets looked after as he is definitely one asset that should be treasured.

Superb venue for a special family celebration!
“Amazing venue!
We had use of the ‘events’ room which included a lounge area. Tasteful decor throughout the hotel. Dog friendly (our dog lay quietly under the table whilst we ate). Beautiful, well-maintained grounds, which offered space for the small children to run around and explore. Food was cooked to perfection (not a soggy vegetable in sight!). Delicious, light desserts. (Compliments to the chefs!).
Very attentive, friendly, fun maitre’d supported by an efficient young team of waiting-on staff. Nothing was too much. More gravy? More wine? Another dessert? No problem!
Wonderful day enjoyed by a party of twenty family members, celebrating a big occasion.”
“On arrival it was clear our visit was going to be a good one.
We were greeted by friendly faces and a fantastic setting! The General manager also made him self known and was more than accommodating whilst we gave a few extra requests.
This continued with superb food when dining in the restaurant looking out onto the picturesque gardens from the conservatory.
We were worried about being catered for our dietary requirements which we soon realised wouldn’t be an issue the staff were forward in providing us with plenty of options, very attentive and the food was delicious.
Our stay was completed by the very stylish room we had booked which was overlooking the fantastic gardens, it was immaculate and attention to detail had obviously been a conscious decision.
